About Me
Hello! I'm Sebastian, founder of TutoredBySeb. My journey in education began with peer tutoring in high school, where I discovered my passion for helping others excel academically. This initial experience led me to work with tutoring companies, where I honed my skills and developed a deep understanding of effective teaching methods. However, during my employment, I noticed the overly expensive hourly rates and a lack of personalized support to justify the cost. This led to students having fewer tutoring sessions and, as a result, suboptimal performance in school. Driven by a commitment to student success and a desire to provide more personalized assistance, I established TutoredBySeb, a tutoring service dedicated to providing focused and affordable support to students from grades 8 through 12.
I have an extensive background in math and sciences, having graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science. Altogether, my vast tutoring experience as well as my educational foundation has helped more than 30 students accomplish their acaedmic goals.
